Qualifications offered by AAT and Fees
AAT helps emerging accountants to nourish their abilities. With AAT qualifications you can kickstart your accounting careers at any point of your life.
AAT offers three accounting qualifications. Each qualification takes 6-18 months to complete.
- Certificate in Accounting Level 2
(Certificate in Accounting at SCQF Level 6)
Average Duration
This qualification takes up to 6-12 months on average to finish depending on the student and study mode.
Qualification and Exam Fee
The fees for certificate in accounting level 2 is:
- Fees applicable till 31st of August 2024 is £175
- Fees applicable after 1st of September 2024 is £180

- Diploma in Accounting Level 3
(Diploma in Accounting at SCQF Level 7)

This qualification takes up to 6-12 months on average, depending on the student and study mode.

The fees for diploma in accounting level 3 is:
- Fees applicable before 31st of August 2024 is £228
- Fees applicable after 1st of September 2024 is £225

This qualification takes up to 12-18 months on average to finish, depending on student and study mode.

Benefits of registering with AAT
The AAT registration fee includes access to the study portal via MyAAT account. Once you register with AAT, you will have access to study material provided by AAT which includes notes and videos. You will also have access to practise assessment, which will help you prepare for the actual exam. The AAT study portal is designed to support members in developing technical skills. As an AAT student, you will be able to buy a student TOTUM discount card, which offers various discounts and offers to students.
How to register with AAT
It is important to enrol on your course first before registering with AAT. Once the enrolment is done, it is advised by Aat to buy membership within 4 weeks of enrolment.

Clicking on the link will take you to the page where all the options are given. Choose the right membership – “Qualifications and courses for students”. In qualifications and course, choose the right qualifications (i.e. Accounting Qualifications, Bookkeeping Qualifications, Business Skills). By clicking on the right qualification, it will take you to the desired qualification section. You will be able to see all the all the key benefits and qualification details in there. Add the desired membership to the basket. Create an account with AAT and make the payment. While registering with AAT make sure to choose the right training provider (i.e. the training provider you enrol with)
